Finance Options
The value of a new business phone system and related products is in their use rather than their ownership. Leasing, as opposed to outright purchase, allows you to spread the cost over a period of years.

Leasing periods can vary from one to seven years although the popular terms are three and five years. Payments are made by direct debit and can be monthly or quarterly as you prefer. The full payment can be treated as an expense in your accounts.

Upgrading your business phone system during the course of the lease is inexpensive. Either the regular payments can be left unchanged and the term increased or the payments can be increased and the term left the same. This ensures that you can take advantage of improvements which will help your business.

Voice and Data Cabling
We recommend having a Category 5E Structured Wiring Scheme to support all your voice and data requirements. The benefits are: easy management, flexibility to plug in any type of device and, if somebody moves office, then, by moving patch leads,there is no need for any reprogramming of telephone extension numbers.

There is a further benefit in that many modern business phone systems can be rack mounted, so you have just one cabinet which neatly holds all your voice and data switching equipment.

Hardware Faults
A phone system can be "mission critical" to a business. Few businesses can function without their phones! Whilst we select systems for reliability, occasionally a fault may develop on a phone or a component in the central system; this is when a contractual response to get the fault fixed, or phone or component replaced, is necessary. Ongoing Changes
All businesses go through changes as they evolve. New staff come on board, others move on, office layouts are changed and the business itself needs to change. We do not insist on carrying out all changes and charging you each time. If the changes can be done by remote programming, then, as part of a maintenance contract, we will provide any number of remote programming changes free of charge .

We also recognise that some customers prefer to manage the system themselves. We can train you so that you can undertake your own changes at times to suit yourselves (we will still provide free support as part of a maintenance contract if you need help). We use a selection of leading carriers, including Cable & Wireless, Thus, Gamma and BT Wholesale , to provide you with a quality,reliable service at competitive prices. Billing covers a calendar month for easy accounting and gives summary information such as 'Top 10 calls by Cost' as well as itemised calls above a threshold cost of your choosing.

Our Internet Billing platform provides full, detailed call information which you can have presented in different ways ( e.g. all calls to mobiles ) or can be downloaded for analysis in Excel. For added control you can set e-mail alerts when certain calls take place ( e.g. any call to a premium rate number ) so that you can take action immediately rather than after receiving your bill.

Business Numbers

Numbers starting 0800, 0845 and 0870 are increasingly being used by businesses both for marketing reasons and to avoid the problems associated with moving office where an existing number might not be transferable.

0800 numbers, which are free to the caller as the business takes the charge, are best when you have several competitors and you are trying to encourage consumers to ring YOUR number!

0845 numbers which are charged at a local call rate to the caller with a minimal charge to the business, can be used in a wide number of situations. Notably they do not identify you with a particular region.

0870 numbers are charged at national rates to the caller but at no cost to the business. These numbers can be termed 'general purpose' and, again, are useful when the business does not want to be associated with one particular part of the country or foresees difficulties in the event of relocation.
